Section B–B · What I do

Three ways I cover your maintenance

Start with one, or combine them into a single monthly agreement. No long lock-ins.

Detail B1

Preventive maintenance

A fixed schedule that catches wear before it costs you a shift. I build the task list around your equipment and OEM intervals, then run it on time, every time.

What’s included

  1. Equipment register and PM schedule built for your plant
  2. Lubrication, belt/chain tensioning, alignment checks
  3. Bearing, gearbox, and drive inspections
  4. Vibration and thermal checks on critical assets
  5. Photo report, findings, and parts list after each visit
Schedule
Monthly, quarterly, or shutdown-based schedules

Detail B3

Shift coverage

A qualified millwright embedded on your floor for the shifts you can’t fill — vacation, medical leave, a ramp-up, or a seat you’re still hiring for.

What’s included

  1. Days, afternoons, nights, and weekend shifts
  2. Short-term fill-in or ongoing rotation coverage
  3. Shutdown and changeover surge support
  4. Works to your procedures, LOTO, and safety program
  5. Shift handover notes to your maintenance lead
Billing
Billed hourly or as a weekly block rate

Plan D · Service area

Based in the GTA. Growing across North America.

Today I work out of the Greater Toronto Area, which keeps response times short and travel charges honest. As I add millwrights, I’m expanding into the rest of Ontario, then nationally across Canada and into the United States.

Outside the current zone with a multi-site or shutdown need? Ask — I travel for the right scope.

Roadmap

  1. Now Greater Toronto Area Full PM, breakdown, and shift coverage
  2. Next Southern Ontario Hamilton to Kitchener–Waterloo, Niagara, Barrie
  3. Then Canada & United States Multi-site programs and travelling shutdown crews

Flow E · How it works

Simple to start, easy to keep

  1. Tell me what’s running

A 10-minute call or a short form. Equipment, shifts, and what’s been hurting you lately.

  2. Free site walk

I walk the floor, list your critical assets, and flag the obvious risks before I quote anything.

  3. Clear written quote

Flat PM pricing, posted breakdown rates, and shift-coverage rates. No surprise line items.

  4. I show up and report

Scheduled PMs run on time, breakdowns get dispatched, and every visit ends with a written report and parts list.

Spec F · Why Mechanic Do

Built around uptime, not billable hours

You talk to the millwright

The person who answers the phone is the one who does the work — I can diagnose the problem and tell you what to check before I arrive.

Documented every visit

Photos, findings, corrective actions, and recommended parts — so your records survive staff turnover and audits.

Transparent rates

Posted hourly, overtime, and emergency rates agreed up front. Travel and truck charges stated before I roll.

Safety first, always

Fully insured and working to your lockout/tagout and contractor orientation on every site.

Questions I get a lot

How fast can you get to us on a breakdown?

Contract customers in the GTA get priority dispatch, with a target of 2–4 hours on site. For new customers I’ll be straight with you on the phone about the soonest I can get there — often the same day.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. Preventive maintenance runs on a simple monthly agreement you can cancel with 30 days’ notice, and breakdown or shift work can be booked purely as needed.

Can you cover a night or weekend shift regularly?

Yes. Shift coverage is available on days, afternoons, nights, and weekends — as a one-off fill-in or an ongoing rotation while you recruit.

Do you supply parts?

I can source and supply parts, or install parts you’ve already stocked. Either way you get the part numbers in writing so you can build a critical spares list.

Are you insured?

Yes. I carry commercial general liability insurance, and I’ll send certificates and complete your contractor pre-qualification before the first visit.

We have sites outside the GTA — can you still help?

Often, yes. I’m expanding through Southern Ontario and then across Canada and the US. For multi-site programs and shutdowns I already travel — send me the locations and I’ll tell you honestly what I can cover.
